Welcome to the Brighton Youth Football and Cheer Volunteer Page!

BYF is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that relies solely on our members and volunteers to be successful. From Board members to home game grill masters, each BYF event requires hours of vounteer help.  Listed below are the season volunteer assignments which can be updated weekly.  Please visit this page often during the season.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

Q:  How much time do I need to volunteer each year?

A:  Each family is asked to volunteer a minimum of 4 halves per season.

Q:  What are the volunteer jobs?

A:  Volunteers are needed for each of our 4 home games every season.  Click here to view job descriptions for home game assignments.

Q:  What if I can not make the home games?

A:  Grandparents, or other adult family members may volunteer to meet the requirement for your family.

Q:  I like to watch my son/daughter's game, how can I meet the volunteer requirement and watch the game?

A:  There are 4 games played each home game day; Jr. Freshman, Freshman, JV, Varsity.  You may sign up for a volunteer job that does not interfere with your child's game.  Pre-game set up or post game clean up volunteers are also needed.

Q:  Can I contribute my time in some other way?

A:  Yes!  There are several positions within our program that meet the volunteer requirement such as coaching, Team Mom, Concessions Manager or Team photographer.  Please contact Dawn DesRosiers, VP of Support; vp.support@brightonyouthfootball.net for further information.

Q:  Can I pay to opt out of the volunteer requirement?

A:  Unfortunately, no.  Our organization would not run without the help and time from each family.

Q: How do I sign up to volunteer?

A:  At Registration, and the annual summer picnic there will be a volunteer table.  Please stop at the table to complete a volunteer assignment worksheet.  You may also complete a volunteer assignment sheet and return it with your registration documents or mail it to us at BRIGHTON YOUTH FOOTBALL, PO BOX 633, Brighton, MI  48116.  Assignments will be posted prior to each home game.  If you are unsure of what you'd like to do, please remember that you can always send an e-mail to volunteer however, assignments are based on a first come first served basis.  Submit your assignment request early to secure the job of your choice.
